The programs emphasize hands on applied skills training relevant to employer's needs and transferable between a number of related occupations.
OTS specifically attracts, enrolls, motivates, trains, and graduates those individuals who have not been successful or satisfied with traditional education.
Programs are of short duration and organized into courses that are each focused on specific skills. A series of courses comprises a program that develops a skill set that prepares the student for immediate entry into the job market.
